Dolgellau is a market town that is located in Gwnedd in northwestern Wales. The town is situated on the River Wnion. The area on which the town is situated was a Celtic settlement that was later captured by the Romans. The Welsh chieftains took over following the departure of the Romans. There are many historical attractions in Dolgella, including an abbey that dates back to the 12th century as well as several hill forts that are in the immediate vicinity. A field known as Camlan is also thought to have been the last battle site of King Arthur.

The Welsh town of Dolgellau is a well known market oriented town. It lies in the north-west and situated right next to the River Wnion. The countryside deserves a visit as it astonishingly posses the rare wild looks and offers adventurous hiking and climbing.

Apart from the marine and wild life the city has much to offer to the lovers of music as well. It hosts a music festival on a yearly basis. It began in the early 90's and has taken over all the natural beauties the city has to offer. It was intended to be a free show in its early days but now has grown in to a commercial enterprise. Moreover in the beginning used to hold in the small streets but after a decade it is organized virtually outside the town. Over five thousand people come exclusively to see this magical event and it has now gained an amazing reputation. You can easily appreciate its popularity by knowing the fact that BBC Radio presents this program live.

The city preserves a historical cemetery of Quakers which can be visited to pay homage to the great people lying there. King Arthur is a household name in the historical circles and the town offers piece of land Camlan which is the place where he fought his last battle. Furthermore historical railway sites can be appreciated as there are plenty of them in the town's suburbs. So we can say that this place doesn't not only offer the latest music festivals but also present monumental historical sites as well.
