About The Beechwood Shona and David Paterson look forward to extending a warm welcome to you at the Beechwood, a beautiful refurbished Victorian house within walking distance of Ayr's award winning town and shopping centre. The Beechwood consists of two adjoined houses, one in which your hosts live and the other for the use of guests. This unique set-up allows you the independence of a hotel but at sensible guest house prices. |

Our spacious rooms are all en-suite and for your additional comfort and enjoyment have a hairdryer, television, tea and coffee facility, full-length mirror, luggage rack, central heating and easy chairs and table. Telephones are due to be installed in the rooms in the near future. We have worked hard designing the rooms and you should find them to be decorated to the highest standard and in excellent taste. You may also enjoy one of our sea view rooms looking straight across to the beautiful Isle of Arran. |
Residents lounge Our lounge has been designed on the theme of a Mediterranean garden room and you will find it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee. In the future we hope to be able to provide you with a residents bar service. |

Our aim is to provide each and every one of our guests with what they really want and we are sure that our varied breakfast menu will do just that for you. You will find everything you could imagine. | For the tourist Ayr has so much to offer. Right in the centre of Robert Burns country you are well positioned to visit many Burns attractions including Burns cottage, Land O'Burns, The Auld Kirk, and Brig O'Doon. A short drive away you can enjoy the unique experience of the famous Electric Brae, visit Culzean Castle and Country Park or pop in for coffee at the famous five star golfing Hotel, Turnberry. You are also close to Rozelle Art Gallery, the Gaiety Theatre, a three-screen cinema, Ten Pin Bowling Alley, Swimming Pool and Leisure Centre and Ice rink. A day trip to the Isle of Arran can be arranged and we are always on hand to help you with your route plan if you are touring Scotland. The Beechwood is just 35 minutes by rail to the city centre of Glasgow. |
| For the Sportsman Golf - The Beechwood is perfectly positioned as it is surrounded by over 20 golf courses that are in easy reach. Itineraries, tee off times and transportation can be arranged. Bowling - We have always been one of the most popular choices for bowlers as we are literally a 2 minute walk away from the main bowling green, Northfield Park. Curling and Ice Hockey - Just a 5 minute walk from the Beechwood. Horse Racing - The Ayr races have always been a big hit and we are fortunate to be within a mile of Scotland's best and most famous racecourse. |
| For the Airport Traveller The Beechwood is situated on the same road as Prestwick Airport. We are also within walking distance Newton-on-Ayr train station, a handy 2 minute rail link to Prestwick Airport. Late check in times and early morning departures are easily arranged. |
