| Holywell House The house was originally two period cottages, which were substantially reconstructed in 1964 by a local builder, to form a single family dwelling. All the rooms are larger than average, giving space to relax better. It has an attractive front façade of natural stone and the pillared portico is believed to have come from Rowden Manor, which was destroyed in the Civil War. |

| Location Chippenham lies 4½ miles south from Junction 17 of the M4 motorway. It has a good range of shops and supermarkets, two shopping malls and an excellent leisure centre. There is a rail station with frequent trains to London and the West Country. The house is about 1½ miles South of the town centre, with southerly views over open country. It lies in 2 acres on the old A350 road near the railway bridge. How to get there From the M4 Exit at Junction 17 and take the road south towards Chippenham. At the end of the dual carriageway turn right at the roundabout signed for Poole A350. This is the by-pass, follow this road over 4 roundabouts, (the last one signed for 'S. Ceppen'). At the 5th (Chequers) take the second exit signed A4, Calne and Town Centre. At the second roundabout (The Pheasant) turn right down Saltersford Lane. After going past the traffic lights and under the railway bridge we are a further 100 yards on the right. From the South Use the A350 towards Chippenham. After passing Lackham you will come to Lackham roundabout, which is the start of the bypass. Take the second exit for Town Centre, we are a further ½ mile, on your left, just before the traffic lights. |
