Amport is a small thatched village near to Stonehenge and only 20 minutes from Salisbury, Winchester and Marlborough. Oxford, Bath and Portsmouth (with its outstanding Naval history) are easily accessible. Local attractions include the Hawk Conservancy in Amport, Jane Austin's house at Chawton and many wonderful gardens including Mottisfont, Stourhead, Tintinhull and Barrington Court, to name a few.

There are several character pubs nearby and some beautiful walks in the area such as the Test Way or Clarendon Way and Watership Down if you feel like exploring, but the cottage garden is a haven if you just want to read a book and relax.

The thatched barn conversion at Broadwater started life as the stabling for the coach and horse for the Marquis of Winchester's estate manager who lived at Broadwater until 1870. It has now been converted to a self contained flat which consists of:
|
The cottage can sleep up to three people as there is a very comfortable sofa bed downstairs which may suit some people as the stairs are fairly steep
We have one cat - Daisy and one chocolate labrador called Jessie which is why we regret we do not take pets. Home cooked frozen meals are available on request.
