Places to Visit

Hartham Park is situated between the pretty village of Biddestone and the small town of Corsham. It was once a magnificent private estate and still boasts a lovely Bath stone manor house and glorious parkland.

The city of Bath lies just 8 miles (20 minutes) away. Bath offers many architectural and historical gems as well as a lovely shopping area e.g. Roman Baths and Bath Abbey.

There are many historic market towns within a few miles of Church Farm e.g. Bradford on Avon - famous for its wool trade, Trowbridge - the county town and Chippenham - still retaining its weekly cattle market.

The National Trust village of Lacock with its 9th century abbey and Castle Combe are just two of the well-known villages in the area. Both have won national awards and boast cottages and buildings from various periods of history. Many films and TV programmes are made within or close to these Cotswold villages e.g. Pride and Prejudice and Dr Dolittle. There are also many stately homes close by i.e. Bowood, Corsham Court, Badminton and Dyrham Park.

Within an hour are the archaeological sites of Stonehenge, Avebury, West Kennet Long Barrow, Silbury Hill and the Wiltshire White Horse.

How to Find Hartham Park

From the North, West and East, leave the M4 at J17, take the A350 and travel south past Safeway, picking up the A350 Western Relief Road at the Bumpers Farm Roundabout. Follow the road down to McDonalds on the A4 and turn right. After two miles you will pass through traffic lights at the Cross Keys public house. After 400m you will approach the 30 mph sign, take the right hand turn signposted Hartham (Hartham Lane). 300m along the road on the left, through black gate, before Church.

From the South, either take the M5/M4 route, or join the A350 turn right onto the A4 towards Bath, and then as above.

Church Farm is situated between Chippenham and Bath, north of the A4, at Corsham in Wiltshire. Rail travel is excellent with a mainline station at Chippenham providing a rapid route to London (Paddington) in approximately 75 minutes. Hartham Park is a 10 minute drive from the station.
