| Built in the 1860's as a retirement residence for a prominent Bishop, the Corner House stands proudly on the junction of Park Street and Wellington Road. The original architecture reflects the religious connections, the main staircase being dominated by a magnificent stained glass window - the hotel underwent a £750,000 refurbishment reopening May 2003. We are five minutes walk from the centre of Taunton, the county town of Somerset with its bustling centre, and even closer to the assizes courts and county hall. To the rear of the hotel we have a large car park. The Hotel has a contemporary Bistro that offers casual dining and is popular with locals. |
