Dollons House, Minehead, Front of House, 12K

Agrade II listed building, Dollons House is an attractive house believed to be much older than it's early 19th century façade, which has wide eaves with egg and dart mouldings. It was originally two cottages with elm beams and reed ceilings.

The house is situated in the heart of medieval Dunster with its cobbled pavements. Historical places of interest include Dunster Castle, the Yarn Market, St George's Church with the longest rood screen in the country and also an early Dovecote with a revolving ladder.Dunster is probably the prettiest village in the Exmoor National Park. Over a hundred years ago Dollons housed the village pharmacy which, as well as its potions produced a marmalade of such high quality that they supplied the Houses of Parliament.
