Excellent Golf

Golf at courses that are famous for their spectacular setting and diversity. Newport Golf Club is a delightful 6003 yard, 9 hole links course and is only a short drive away. With views over Newport Bay, a day at Newport Golf Club would be a truly unforgettable experience.

Watersports

West Wales is an exhilarating area for most aquatic pursuits. A wide range of sports are available for both the novice and the expert. Try your hand at sailing, surfing, kayaking or sailboarding to name just a few.

If you require packed lunches for any of your excursions these can be provided with prior notification.

Great Fishing

We are fortunate to be able to offer an outstanding array of fishing in this area. Sea fishing trips are available from Newport and Fishguard and offer some of the most scenic fishing spots you could wish for. We have excellent game fishing with brown, rainbow, seatrout and salmon awaiting the game angler. And there is an added bonus that if you are successful for a small charge our chef will be pleased to cook your catch for you! Or perhaps course fishing for Bream, Roach, Tench or Carp at one of the local well stocked lakes is more your sport.

Walking and Bird Watching

Pembrokeshire is home to Britain's only coastal national park. The coastal region offers wonderful walking and glourious views and is a paradise for bird watchers. There off shore island of Grassholm, Ramsey, Skikholm and Skomer have changed little since they were named by Viking invaders and are now bird and wildlife sanctuaries of international importance. Newport is an excellent place from which to explore the Preseli Hills to the south. Just to the north of the town is Carreg Coetan Arthur, a burial chamber reouted to hold the remains of King Arthur and on the northern slopes of the Preseli Hills or Pentre Ifan, one of the grandest megalithic remains in Wales. The monument is made of the same Preseli bluestones that somehow found their way to Stonehenge on Salisbury Plain.

Horse Riding and Trekking are available locally and bicycles can be hired in Newport.
