| Golf Ayrshire and the Isle of Arran are rich in nature's gifts to golf. There are no fewer than 44 golf courses in the surrounding area - almost a tenth of the total number in Scotland. Royal Troon, Prestwick and Turnberry, all so close, are ranked among the top 55 courses in the world. We are only too happy to supply our guests with the contact information for the courses that they wish to play. Henry Cotton, three times Open champion, surveyed the Ailsa and the Arran courses in Turnberry. "On a warm summer's day" he mused, "with a heat hazed on the velvety greens, the larks singing and the gorse in bloom, this could be a little corner of heaven on earth." |
