Rooms

We have four comfortable rooms available for your stay, all of which are named after local towns and villages.

Appledore is located on the ground floor. It is a double room with a pine four poster bed. The fully redesigned bathroom has a wash basin, WC and shower, as well as plenty of shelf and cupboard space.

Camber is a double or triple room with one double bed and one single bed. The large en-suite bathroom features a power shower.

Fairlight is our family room with one double bed and bunk beds. It also has the best views from the house! The bathroom is compact but features full facilities including a small bath.

Tenterden is a double room which features a modern iron four poster bed. The main feature of the fully equipped bathroom is a luxury hydrotherapy shower.

Conservatory - In addition to the guest accommodation rooms, we also offer the use of our conservatory for meeting friends or simply for spending some quiet time reading or ruminating. Please note that access to the conservatory is from the garden only.

Hastings has a garden aspect and is a two bedded room with one double bed and one single bed. The two beds are in separate areas with a door between, making this room particularly suitable for two friends travelling together or, for example, for mother/daughter or similar arrangements. The bathroom has a wash basin, WC and bath with shower over.

Tariff

Depending on configuration, party sizes of between 1 and 14 guests of any age can be accommodated. With year round opening Little Saltcote offers a warm welcome.

Booking / Payment Conditions

In order to secure a reservation, we do ask for details of a credit card as a guarantee.
If you prefer, we are happy to accept a cheque deposit equivalent to the price of your first night's stay.
Should you cancel your reservation within 48 hours of scheduled arrival date, we reserve the right to charge in full for the room if we are unable to resell it. Prior to this time, any deposit will be fully refundable.
All bookings can be confirmed in writing if required, although we do stress that a booking is considered to be "firm" on receipt of a credit card number or cheque deposit as above.
We accept payment by cash, cheque (supported by guarantee card), sterling traveller's cheques, Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard and UK Maestro. Please note we do not accept American Express or Diners Club cards.
Payment by credit card (but not debit card) will be subject to a £1.50 handling fee.

Travel details

Roads
Rye is located close to England's south coast between Folkestone to the east and Hastings to the west. It is 67 miles (107km) from London and 35 miles (56km) from Dover. The town is situated at the junction of the A268 and the A259. Access from the nearest motorway is via Junction 10 of the M20 at Ashford.

Trains
Rye Station is situated on the regional line connecting Ashford and Hastings. Trains operate from Rye in each direction approximately every hour during the day. There are connections at Ashford to London Charing Cross and Victoria, as well as to the Eurostar, and at Hastings to Brighton, Gatwick Airport and London.

If required, for guests arriving by train, we can arrange a lift from the station on request.

Channel Crossings
Rye is within one hour by road from both Dover (for sea crossings to Calais, Boulogne and Dunkerque) and Folkestone (for the Euro tunnel terminal). The channel port of Newhaven (for Dieppe) is within 90 minutes driving time.

Airports
The nearest major international airport to Rye is London Gatwick, which is 55 miles (88km) away. The journey by road takes approximately 90 minutes.

There is also a local airport at Lydd (10 miles / 16km from Rye) from where flights can be taken to Le Touquet in northern France.
