If you're looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay while you're touring the vast open spaces of Dartmoor, or spending some time in the historic towns and villages that abound, the Melville is ideally situated. Just a short stroll from the centre of Brixham, a small fishing port full of local character, the Melville offers full bed and breakfast facilities, with most rooms en suite, to its visitors. We are also the nearest Guest house on New Road to the Harbour! Touring the area? Dartmoor is only a short distance away, Widecombe in the moor is only 40 minutes, Historic Princetown, with its Napoleonic prison, is only 45 minutes. Dartmouth, with all its naval history and yachting traditions, is only 15 minutes distant. After recent extensive refurbishment, most of our rooms are no en-suite, and decorated to a high standard. There are tea and coffee making facilities and remote control televisions in all rooms to further enhance your stay.
