Cheltenham, often described as "Centre for the Cotswolds" and "Garden town of England", also offers a wide variety of cultural interests. In amongst its stylish tree lined avenues and lovely parks and gardens are theatres, art galleries and museums seldom found in a small town.
Cheltenham also offers the National Hunt Festival in March, the Music Festival in July, the Cricket Festival in July and August, and the Literature Festival in October, just to name a few.
A short drive from Cheltenham and you are amongst the glorious Cotswold villages, Bourton-on-the-water, Stow-on-the-Wold, and the Slaughters. A quick trip along the motorway brings you to Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Bristol, Worcester and Warwick with its fascinating castle.
After a full day of touring you will be pleased to come "home" to the Moorend Park Hotel, where you can relax with a drink by the fireplace.
