About Muirhouse Lodge Hotel
Whether you are in the area on business or for pleasure, you are certain to take a little piece of Ayrshire back home with you. Our romantic 19th century coach house was first used by Irish Monks as they arrived from Ireland and settled in this part of Ayrshire, and hence the name “Monk Town” or Monkton was born. Resting in beautiful countryside in the Scottish heartland of Ayrshire, our welcoming and homely guest house has everything you could need to enjoy your stay in the area.
Situated 3 minutes from Glasgow Prestwick International Airport, we are the most convenient accommodation for your travel needs. Muirhouse Lodge Hotel is also perfectly situated as a base for you to go out and explore Ayrshire and Scotland further, with all the major road links less than 1 mile away. Whether you are here through work; visiting friends and family; sampling some of the best golf courses on earth; exploring ancient castles and battle sites from Scottish history; enjoying the vibrant city life of Glasgow; or taking in the magnificent scenery and outdoor activities of Ayrshire, make Muirhouse your home whilst you are in South West Scotland. The house is also available for complete hire. We have recently spent over £300,000 upgrading Muirhouse, ensuring your stay is enjoyable.

 Rooms
We have 2 double bedrooms, 6 twin rooms and 2 single rooms & 2 family rooms. 10 of these include en-suite bathrooms. There is a cozy lounge area for you to relax in and enjoy the Scottish hospitality, in front of the fire with a few drams of local whisky and some home made Scottish shortbread. Our conservatory allows you to enjoy unspoiled views across the South Ayrshire countryside, towards the Isle of Arran.

We operate an open kitchen policy in our fully stocked country kitchen, so make yourself at home, and eat and drink whenever you wish.
Internet
We are pleased to offer you high speed FREE Broadband internet access on our P.C, allowing you to surf the internet, check and send email and so on. If you are a business traveler, and have your own laptop computer with you, we can connect you to our router and give you Broadband internet access via your laptop.
Activities
Working closely with our expert historian and guide, we can arrange personal tours and trips for you around Ayrshire and beyond. Take in the breathtaking beauty of Loch Lomond, the stunning Ayrshire castles and battlefields, or the Birthplace of Scotland’s most famous son, Robert Burns.
