| RIVIERA Built circa 1885, the Riviera retains many of its original Victorian features typical of the period. Plymouth's historical barbican from where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail in search of the New World in 1620, is only five minutes away from the Riviera. ![]() The Riviera is also situated in a good trading position within five minutes walk of the main shopping centre and one minute drive from the city's main France and Spain ferry port. It is also within walking distance of the Theatre Royal, and the Plymouth Pavilions, which is the major entertainment and conference venue of the city. The National Marine Aquarium, which opened in 1998, is also close at hand. |
