THE HOUSE
Set on the edge of the picturesque Sussex Downs, Rooks Hill is the perfect retreat for visiting Chichester, Goodwood and the many places of interest in the area. The charming grade II listed house has been painstakingly renovated to create a tasteful combination of 17th century character and contemporary 'boutique' style. It now has six individually designed luxurious rooms, light and airy and some with views over the Sussex countryside. The sunny oak beamed breakfast room overlooking the wisteria-clad courtyard is where you'll enjoy your delicious Full English breakfast including fresh fruit platter, cereals, muesli, organic yoghurts, locally made sausages, Rooks Hills' own free range eggs, freshly baked bread and homemade preserves. Rooks Hill also offers a cosy guest lounge, well stocked with books, magazines and daily newspapers, for you to relax in. There are two country pubs serving excellent food within strolling distance. |
THE ROOMS
There are six spacious, individually designed luxurious rooms. All are equipped with LCD flat screen TV, hairdryer and hospitality tray with fine teas, coffees, drinking chocolate and bottled mineral water. Pocket sprung King size beds are dressed with soft goose feather & down duvets and pure white cotton bed linen. In the contemporary en-suite bathrooms you will find power showers, fluffy white towels and complimentary 'White Company' toiletries. Bath robes are available for a small charge. |
THE AREA
Lavant and its surrounding area has a wide range of world-class sporting and cultural events, including horse and motor racing at Goodwood, Gold cup polo at Cowdray Park Midhurst and drama at the renowned Chichester Festival Theatre. The stunning landscape offers some wonderful walks and the historic City of Chichester is only two miles away offering a comprehensive array of shops, restaurants and bars, as well as the Cathedral. |
TARIFF / RESERVATIONS

Rates per room per night Double or twin room for two persons from £105 Single occupancy from £90 Children over 12 years welcome. Minimum 2 night stay over weekends during peak periods. Supplements may apply during Goodwood event weekends. A deposit of the first nights' stay is required to make a reservation. Check-in 4.30 to 7pm (arrivals outside these times by prior arrangement only). Breakfast 8 to 9am. Check-out 10am Rooks Hill is a non-smoking house. Prices include breakfast and VAT. All major credit cards accepted. |
