 | Russell Guest House is a family-run establishment situated in a garden square in the very centre of Brighton. The entrance to the main shopping centre - Churchill Square - is just around the corner at the end of the square, along with many other shops along Western Road and North Street. Although we are right in the centre of the town, there is no through traffic in Russell Square, and it is reasonably peaceful for a town-centre location. Virtually all Brighton's attractions and places of interest are within walking distance of Russell Guest House. The famous Lanes - narrow streets and alleyways of small shops - are a short walk away, on the opposite side of Churchill Square shopping centre. Both the Royal Pavilion and Brighton (Palace) Pier are no more than 10 minutes' walk. |
| A few minutes' walk will bring you to the seafront, Brighton Centre, and the Hilton/Metropole Exhibition Halls. Brighton is a town that operates seven days a week - all the shops are open on Sundays, and the town is as busy as on any other day of the week. |  |
| For most of the year the beachfront bars and cafes provide outdoor tables and chairs so that you may relax and watch the world go by; in fact you can always find somewhere along the front providing refreshments in the open air, even on the coldest winter's day! At night, the clubs come alive - and there's plenty of them (they're mostly within walking distance, but not close enough to bother those not interested in that type of entertainment!). |  |
 | All our bedrooms are centrally heated and have private facilities of shower and toilet. Fresh towels are provided daily. Russell Guest House is a non-smoking establishment. All rooms have hospitality tray for tea and coffee making. Colour TV with remote control and teletext, and hairdryer. Iron & ironing board available. Breakfast is served at our sister establishment,Adelaide House, in nearby Regency Square. It's a two minute walk, and worth it for a great breakfast. Breakfast times are 7.30am to 9.30am (Monday-Friday mornings) and 8.00am to 10.00am (Saturday and Sunday mornings). Breakfast is freshly cooked whilst you wait and can be traditional English or Vegetarian. Guests are supplied with keys to enable access to the building at all times. |
  | Car parking is difficult in Brighton, and most places in and around town are best reached either by walking or by bus - services are frequent and a day ticket is available for unlimited travel around the area. Train services to Brighton are excellent: 6 trains per hour from London (fastest about 49 minutes), and the station is about 10-12 minutes' walk from Russell Guest House. Buses and taxis are available at the station if you don't fancy walking. London Gatwick airport is about 30 minutes by train, London Heathrow 2 hours by bus. Reductions available for children sharing with two adults. Cot available for younger children. Please note: We have a policy of two-night minimum stays at weekends, and three-night minimum stays on bank holiday weekends. We do not take bookings for a Saturday night only. |
