The Silverdale is a seven bedroom Guest House run by Louise and Norman Mayhew with there two sons Connor and Sully in the centre of the Edwardian town of Seaford. We are inspected by the A.A and English Tourist Board to a very high standard and have a 4 star rating. |  |
 | We like to feel we offer a 'home from home' atmosphere with comfortable accommodation whilst giving a professional and friendly service where nothing is too much trouble. Although there are no hotels at all in Seaford, at the Silverdale guest house we have established a reputation for excellent service and hospitality, where nothing is too much trouble and your enjoyment is our main aim. |
| Seaford, which has a dog friendly award, is on the South Coast of East Sussex close to Eastbourne and Brighton and has a beautifully clean beach (which has won awards for its cleanliness). We are within a couple of minutes’ walk of the many restaurants, pubs and shops in the town. Within ten minutes drive you will be in the lovely countryside of the Seven Sisters and South Downs where walking is a pleasure – with or without a dog. |  |
 | We are renowned for being dog friendly, but to be honest weather or not you have a dog we welcome walkers, cyclists, bird watchers and couples or familes who are just after a relaxing break. The most importnat thing is that we can guarantee you will have a very freindly welcome from our whole family at The Silverdale Guest House. |
| We are, all the time, thinking of ways that we can improve our guests' stay with us and striving to enhance their comfort.Whilst we do not offer evening meals, we can recommend some excellent local restaurants, many of which are dog friendly and are within walking distance of the guest house. If you do not wish to take your dog, Connor and Sully offer a dog sitting service where they they will sit in your room and keep your dog company, whilst you go out safe in the knowledge that your dog/dogs are not alone and they are being well looked after. Alternatively, if you do not fancy goinng out to a restaraunt but want to stay in the guest house, we are happy to allow you to get a take away from one of our many excellent local take aways and we will lay a table in the dining room for you so you can enloy it in comfort. All we ask is that you buy your drinks from us, ourdining room is comfortable and we have a bar where you can sample over 30 different malt whiskeys to take back up to your room for a relaxing evening, and let your cares drift away. the bar is well stocked and excellent value for money compaired to the local pubs. We have a little shop so that you don't even have to worry about finding somewhere to buy gifts for those at home. We may welcome you as a stranger but we hope that you go home as a friend. |
