| Welcome The Bear Hotel is without doubt one of the most historic hotels here in England. It dates back as far as the early 13th Century, has been owned by King Henry VIII (and several of his wives) and visited by Queen Elizabeth. It is also where the future William III met the commissioners of James II in his bedchamber to receive the English Crown - But that's all history now. These Days things at The Bear Hotel are rather different. We're undergoing a significant refurbishment which has allowed us an opportunity to reconsider the way out hotel is perceived. Now when you book into The Bear Hotel you can expect rather more; comfortable beds, Egyptian cotton sheets, refreshingly great showers in the morning and service that'll make you want to extend your stay. |  |

The Bear Island Boardroom hidden in the grounds of Bear Island House is a quiet purpose built executive boardroom ideal for confidential and top level meetings. The room measures 4.8m X 4.95m and seats 12 people. |
