| Welcome to The Ellenby Welcome to the Ellenby, a family run, 4 star Grade 2 listed, seafront bed and breakfast Guest House with panoramic sea views overlooking the magnificent North Bay of Scarborough, North Yorkshire. Whilst rated under the ETC Guest Accommodation Scheme and awarded 4 Stars for comfort and quality, our Guest House with bed and breakfast, offers many of the services of a Hotel but also manages to retain the individual personal touch, in order to make your holiday in Scarborough more enjoyable. |  |

| Our Accomodation Our accommodation offers a high standard of cleanliness, comfort, home cooked food and a warm and friendly welcome. All our rooms are en-suite many of which offer magnificent views of the East Coast and the Castle Headland. We also have premier rooms which offer that little bit more luxury. The Ellenby is totally non smoking and has a private car park, a stunning view of the sea from the bar and guest lounge.. In the comfortable surroundings of the Ellenby dining room you enjoy a deliciously Yorkshire breakfast among the various choices on the menu and we are proud to say wherever possible we use local suppliers for our produce. All dietary requirements can be catered for. |   |

| Bedrooms We have 12 rooms at The Ellenby, all are ensuite with bath or shower and all are individually tastefully decorated. All premier rooms have spectacular sea views, some have super-king sized beds. Three rooms are single rooms and we have one family room. There is also a double room on the ground floor. All the rooms are well equipped with comfortable bedding, pine furniture and bed throws, and bathroom accessories, to add that touch of luxury. They also include colour televisions, (some of which are flat screen LCD TVs with DVD), hair dryers, individually controlled central heating radiators, radio alarm clocks, and a well stocked courtesy tray. | Out and About The Ellenby is situated close to all amenities including the Alexander Bowls, which offers indoor and outdoor bowling. There is also the Seal-Life Centre, Peasholm Park, the Scarborough Cricket Ground and The Amusements. Within easy walking distance is the town centre shopping precinct, the South Bay and all entertainment in Scarborough. If you are touring the area then the Ellenby makes an ideal base, Whitby, Filey, York The North York Moors and Goathland (Heartbeat Country) are all within an hours car journey. The North Bay is linked to the South Bay by an extensive Victorian promenade, built around the headland. Overlooking both bays is Scarborough Castle, which was bombarded by the German warships SMS Derfflinger and SMS Von der Tann in the First World War. Both bays have popular sandy beaches and numerous rock-pools at low tide. |   |
