The historic town of Berwick-upon-Tweed is ideally situated for exploring the miles of un-spoilt north east coastline with its fine beaches, caves and quaint fishing villages.![]() The magnificent stately homes and castles found in Northumberland, Berwickshire and the Scottish Borders, the Holy Island of Lindisfarne and the Farne Islands Nature Reserve are all within easy reach. Situated at the mouth of the River Tweed, Berwick has an excellent selection of shops and a busy market. The town also boasts a theatre, a new leisure centre and swimming pool and two 18 hole golf courses. The Old Vicarage Guest House is an attractive nineteenth century detached house recently refurbished to high standards whilst maintaining all its original features. |

Our spacious accommodation consists of one single, one twin, one triple and four double rooms. All our comfortable bedrooms are tastefully decorated and have colour televisions, hospitality trays, wash hand basins and many thoughtful extras. Six rooms are ensuite with WC and shower the seventh having private facilities. Hair dryers, irons and shoe cleaning facilities are also available.![]() Books, magazines and games are available and there is a plentiful supply of maps and local guides. There is also a listing of local restaurants and sample menus to help you decide where to eat. ![]() An outstanding breakfast served in our attractive dining room includes the famous locally smoked "Craster Kippers" and will ensure a perfect start to your day. Evening meals served on request. |

The Old Vicarage Guest House is set in a peaceful location and is conveniently situated on the south side of the River Tweed. A pleasant walk over "The Old Bridge" will take you into Berwick town whilst the beach is only 10 minutes away. Berwick-upon-Tweed lies on the A1 equidistant from both Edinburgh and Newcastle (approximately 1hr by car) and on the main north east railway line.![]() |
