As you would expect, the Scottish Poetry Library specialises in Scottish poetry, however it also has a small but interesting collection of world poetry. Much of the library's collection dates from the 20th century with a particular emphasis on contemporary Scottish poets, but there is also an excellent collection of poetry from previous centuries The library is open daily except Sundays but times vary according to the day so check in advance. Admission to the main library is free. |
