Kensington High Street

W8
Nearest Tube: High Street Kensington

Kensington High Street is synonymous with one thing - clothes shopping. Both designer and high street names are well represented, and if you are on a really cheap budget there is always Kensington Market.

High street shops to be found along Kensington High Street include The Gap, Kookai, Jigsaw, Marks and Spencer and Laura Ashley. Designer names include Hype Df and Karen Millen.

Also along Kensington High Street is the art deco splendour of Barker's of Kensington, now part of Barker's Arcade. This department store has everything from clothes to household goods and has an excellent reputation for quality.

Aside from shops, the Commonwealth Institute is also located on Kensington High Street. And there is one of Europe's largest roof gardens on the top floor of Derry and Toms - the entrance is on Derry Street.
