Pollock's Toy Museum

1 Scala Street, W1
Nearest Tube: Goodge Street

This museum, featuring toys throughout the ages, is naturally a great favourite for kids - young and old. From vintage teddy bears to toy soldiers, puppets and dolls, there is something for all toy lovers.

It is named after the Victorian Benjamin Pollock who made his fortune selling toy theatres. Most of the collection dates from the 18th to 20th centuries, but there is also an Egyptian mouse that dates from 2000 BC! The collection also contains examples of Pollock's original theatres.

In the basement there is a shop selling toys from all over the world, and occasionally live theatre shows take place. The museum is open Mondays to Saturdays 10am-5pm, entry costs around £3.
