Manchester Town Guide, Jewish Museum, 4K
Manchester Town Guide, M, 2Kanchester is home to one of the UK's two Jewish museums - the other one is in London. In Manchester the Jewish Museum is located on Cheetham Hill Road, to the north of the city.

This is the heart of the city's old Jewish community, one of the largest in the UK and today estimated at around 40,000.

The museum records the history of Judaism as a whole, and specifically traces the culture of Manchester's Jews. For example it re-creates Jewish homes and schools from Manchester's past and includes recorded commentaries from the city's Jewish community.

The Manchester Jewish Museum is open from 10.30am to 4pm Mondays to Thursdays and from 10.30am to 5pm on Sundays. Admission is around £2.50 for adults.
