This fascinating museum is housed in five 17th century cottages that have been restored and converted to provide an insight into life in Nottingham through the ages. | |
You can see re-created shops, ordinary people's houses, and even the caves built into Castle Rock that were used as air raid shelters during the Blitz. The museum encourages interactivity (for example you can handle many of the exhibits) and so it is ideal for children. The Brewhouse Yard Museum is located on Castle Boulevard, nestling below Nottingham Castle. It is open daily from 10am to 5pm. Admission is free on weekdays, around £2.00 for adults at weekends. |
