Nottingham's superb Museum of Costume and Textiles can be found on Castle Gate, just opposite the Castle. | |
The museum traces the history and development of clothing and fashion and textiles from the 18th century right up to the mid 20th century. And naturally it particularly concentrates on Nottingham's extensive lace making industry, with early examples of lace making machinery along with clothing featuring the world famous lace. The Museum of Costume and Textiles is open daily from 10am to 5pm. Admission is free. |
