| Located on Clifford Street in the city centre, the York Dungeon recounts the city's more gruesome past. With all manner of instruments of torture on display and a series of vivid reconstructions of horrible events, this museum will be enough to send a shiver down most people's spines - not one for small children or for the faint hearted. York Dungeon is open daily from 10am to 5.30pm. Entry costs around £6.95 for adults. |
