Hall's Croft

Hall's Croft can be found on Old Town, just to the north of Holy Trinity Church, which is where Shakespeare is buried.

The house takes its name from Dr John Hall, the physician who married Shakespeare's daughter Susannah in 1607.

Today the house is home to a Museum of Medicine, with all manner of Elizabethan medical artefacts that will make you glad to be born in an age of modern medicine!

Hall's Croft is open daily, but opening hours vary according to season so do check in advance. Admission costs around £3.30 for adults.

This attraction is administered by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, who also run 4 of Stratford's other top tourist attractions. A joint ticket for all 5 Birthplace Trust properties will save you some money.
